Because these earbuds fit into the hollow of the ear, and not down into the ear-canal, many people find them very comfortable to wear over a long period of time. And because they do not block out all ambient sound it is still possible to hear external sounds going on around you. Choose the 810 if for safety reasons you need to be able to hear ambient sounds, or if you don't like the feeling of having an earbud pushed down into your ear-canal.
